I received an email from Jason Simon who has recently launched www.Revitcars.com, Its worth checking out.

The cars are genuine Revit items and are available in both RFA and as Revit detail components, which is usefull if you want to display them in Specific elevation/section views only.

The RFA families are not True 3D items, they have been created utilising Revits visibility settings to display the appropriate 2D representation depending upon the view.  This reduces model size and increases performance. The downside is that these are not going to Render or display in 3D views, however I dont think this is too much of a problem, as they can easily be swapped out for rendering.
